hello,
i bought a pair of jeans, dark blue denim colour, and the jeans have this smell on them, i'm not sure what it is but it's annoying, and i would like to remove it somehow. i have washed them, and rinsed them, but there is still a slight smell there, does anyone know what i could use to rid it?
thanks :-)

I have had the same problem with certain jeans, what works for mine is put them in the washing machine on a small load with Vinegar.. on the final rinse add some disinfectant and fabric softener, then hang them on the line inside out.. It will take the smell out and clean your washing machine at the same time..

If you live near an ocean, or a body of salt water, try soaking them in it. I know the smell that you mean, and it is from the dye used in the jeans, to get the dark blue color. Given time it will wash and wear out, that's when they start to fade.

The dye is what makes your jeans smell, wash them again and use fabric softener in the final rinse.

Add a dash of lemon to fabric softener. Wash inside out and hang inside out.

You could try putting them outside on a clothes line so they air out.
