Because it is human nature to gravitate towards people that match them in fateful harmony. If you disagree, you put a ripple in that harmony and people stray from that naturally.
And plus, people are stupid and mean.
Thats just the basic truth.

I think that some people feel threatened if someone else doesn't agree with them. It may be because they don't have the skills, or the ability, or even the facts, to back up their beliefs or opinions, but bottom line is that a difference of opinion makes them very uncomfortable.

Too many close minded people. I, personally love a good challenge with those who disagree with me. And, those with no sense of humor. The idiots are those who don't respect other people who disagree with us.

I can have someone disagree with me, in fact, i prefer it. Agreeance is boring.I can not handle people that disagree with me just to be difficult yet have no real idea on why they think the way the do. If you can back it up, articulately, then I am all for it.

some people cant stand being wrong. they think they have to be right all the time, and if theyre not they cant accept it and think you have the problem. i had a friend like that, and it was almost impossible to talk to her about certain things. she was always right (in her mind). we dont talk that much anymore for that reason.

they cant handle the fact that im right.

i think they are surprised that i dont belive in the same cause as them bc they believe themselves to be right or are EXTREMELY passionate about their beliefs.
