There are usually three things that might overheat and cause a computer to crash: the CPU, the video card, and (much more rarely) the chipset. If your computer crashes again, when it reboots go into the BIOS (usually by hitting delete while booting) and look at the temperature(s). If the CPU is over 40 degrees celcius that's likely the cause.
If that's not the problem it could be the video card overheating, the power supply not being up to snuff, or any number of other things!
The easiest potential fix is to dust out the inside of your PC. If you have a lot of dust, that might be the issue. Otherwise, add more case fans, or replace your CPU fan with a bigger one!

Not enough cooling on your computer main CPU will cause it to crash.
Another problem I found with system crashing with good cooling system is that you might have a problem with your bother board and it needs to be replaced.

If it only crashes when playing graphicly intensive game, it could also be a power supply issue.
