I just got my eyebrow pierced, and there is now a bruise (yes, it is definately a bruise. it is not an impure metal reaction because the bruise is bruise colored. as in purply red.) near it above my left eye. Why is it there? What can i do to make it go away (if anything...)?

Trauma to the surrounding tissue can result in a hematoma (bruise), which would be caused by blood pooling under the skin around the area that was traumatized. In this case the piercing. Use ice for the first twenty four hours then switch to warm compresses and this will resolve itself within a couple of days. If you have an inordinate amount of pain with this you may want to see a doctor to make sure that you don't end up with an infection, or an absess.

well you cant do much to get rid of it, its just ruptured blood vessels from when you got it peirced. it will go away on its own like a regular bruise.
