I'm doing a fashion show for charity, and I need to find some good music for the show, to play in the background

depends on the type of clothing you are showing and the message you are trying to get out by the type of clothing you are showing. Most fashion show music is kinda techno-like you know synthsizers and pulsating beat, also a lot of hip-hop is used. Most of the talent whose shows i've worked have been using music with no lyrics and strange beats like jeff buckley songs. A lot of indie songs are also being used lately by indie i mean groups like. Whatever you choose make sure one it matches the theme of the show and two it has a strong enough rythm for the models to walk to evenly (not too fast or slow). What kind of charity even is it. I'm imagining a church one in which you would throw out all of my advice lol. One of m y personal favorite ongs to be used on a runway is "screaming Skull" by sonic youth but that's for a more edgy show. If this is something all bubble gum poppy i'd go with something like Christina Augilera "candy man" , or you could try something a Daft punk song. Also dependingon how long the show is you might be better off making a mix. Make sure it doesn't overpower the clothing either bcus you don't want people jumping around singing the songs instead of watching the clothing.

Would depend on the audience. Non lyrical music works best.
I would tend to go toward a disco (yuk) style. Techno is also graet for fashion shows such as Chemical Bros. etc I used to set shows up and that worked well. Again, depends on the audience.
