i didn't realize it untill i was having cramps, but i had my period a week ago!!! i've been passign gas more than usual HELP!!!!!!!!!

When was the last time you had a BM? And what is your normal frequency? Keep track of your diet and supplement with stool softeners if you need to and drink drink drink fluids! If your are too plugged now use laxatives or if too late for those use what is called a Fleet enema to clean you up then start taking care of yourself!

Do you have IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)?

You need to contact your doctor immediately. Constipation can cause your body to become toxic. Your doctor needs to prescribe something or do a surgical procedure. One month is serious.

After this bout of constipation is taken care of , you may want to suppliment with 2 stool softener softgels a day to get and keep you regular - they're cheap and they work! BUT, you're GOT to increase your fiber and fluids. Exercise will help, maybe a few sit-ups everyday.

Oh no! Have you had a change in your diet? First things first, drink WATER and lots of it! At least 8 glasses of H2O. Secondly, introduce some fibre into your diet. Ground up flax seeds are good. You can toss flax seeds into your coffee grinder to grind them up. Flax sees can be added to your food. If flax is not your thing, try fibre additives that are offered over the counter. Thirdly, constipation can cause hemorrhoids. Ouch! So.....if you have not had a change in your diet I would highly recommend you contacting your doctor or a gastric specialist to get down to the bottom of you GI issue! Good luck and hope you feel better.

My doctor told me to take an adult does of MOM (milk of magnesia) 2-3 times a day until I had a BM. (Took 2-3 days) Now I eat a bowl of Bran Flakes per day and have a nice bm every day. The fiber really does help.

i had the exact same problem, but mine was because i was chewing gum all day every day which stoped me from being able to go to the bathroom. your not chewing gum are you?lol.
but really you should take fiber or try laxitive tea or some kind of laxitive. if you cant go after that or you go vary little then go to the ER they can help, dont get upset it could just be something that you are doing or a change in your diet.

eat lots of fruit or drink lots of juice. these options will give you BAD cramps though, so if you want to skip the cramps i suggest a laxitive that says CRAMP FREE on the box. then you should probably see a doctor, this problem could be serious.

For the love of God, eat some fruit or prunes or Raisin Bran or something. Or go to Taco Bell...that ALWAYS works.

If it really has been a month, and I think you'd notice it sooner than this, then call the doctor, who will probably call you in, give you an enema, and then check your colon for problems.

It must be really tough to be full of s**t.

You need to see a doctor. Constipation for that long is unusual and may be the underlining of a big medical problem.

Get yourself checked.

see your doctor thats too long for regular constipation this is a sign of a larger problem,add more whole grains and nuts to your diet, add bran and sunflower seeds to and cut back on greasy fatty foods and dairy products
