I planted some peas this weekend. We can still expect frost in our area until May 15+/-. Do I need to cover them if frost is expected?

Not at all, but you could get some fleece to cover them and this will help the soil warm up quicker and can be used for ages, we put the fleece down a couple of weeks before we plant, plants come up a week earlier.
can be washed in washing machine when dirty

Peas are very tolerant of cold, it would take a hard frost to hurt them, and then not until they have blossums.
