ive really wanted a mandrin dragonet , these few weeks , but i wasnt sure how many types of them there are. im thinking of getting a mandrin - spotted what do you think?

i know of 2 kinds the spotted and green the but be careful they don't like another of its own kind ( like male bettas)

There are a couple color varieties of mandarin dragonet gobies but they are all the same species. They are beautiful, aren't they?

The problem is, unless you have a large tank and a hundred pounds of live rock for each mandarin to forage in and around it will slowly starve to death.

Sometimes even experts cannot keep them alive without large amounts of live rock to support the many small crustaceans and critters that the mandarins need to survive.

there are 2 variations one is called the mandarin goby and
the one with the spot is called a pychedelic goby. I personally like the mandarin goby because of the color patterns.I keep them in reef tanks and not in a fish only system.
