on animal crossing for DS the characters keep on saying things about turnips but i dont know how to get them?!?!?!!?!!?!!? please help me!!!!!!!!!!!

Every Sunday from 6:00 AM to Noon (local time), Sow Joan visits your town to sell turnips. In Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS), Joan will have TWO types of turnips: Red & White Turnips.
White turnips are the old standard turnips. The buying price will vary from week to week & from town to town. Nook's selling price will vary from day to day & from town to town as well from Monday to Saturday (Nook doesn't buy on Sunday). White turnips go bad at Midnight of Sunday, so make sure you sell all of your white turnips before 11:00 PM Saturday (closing time for Nook's).
Red turnips are the new turnips that were introduced in Wild World. Joan sells the seeds for 1,000 Bells & she only carries 1 pack each week. Once planted, you have to water them EVERY DAY while they're in the ground or they'll spoil. Once you dig them up (as they don't get any bigger after a week), you can store them in your house indefinitely.
You can either sell the Red Turnips to Nook (up to 16,000 Bells a piece) or work on the trading path to the Golden Axe (See various guides on www.gamefaqs.com for more information).

It depends on the season you are playing in. On Sundays from 6:00AM-11:00, Joan comes to town, when you see her, talk to her about her turnips, if she has some, by some from her. Go plant them. You have to take care of them or they will die or rot. If you can make them live, take them to Nook and he will buy them from you for the going price.
