G'day,

I agree with Ljjahn.

2 ways to apply for Australian Permanent Residency:
1. Apply directly thru Australian High Commissions/Embassy nearest to where you live to choose what category of immigration that you want to be. This is the cheaper way but you will need to understand all the requirements and preparations by yourself. A bit difficult if your English is not very good.
2. Apply thru immigration agency. They can make a preliminary assessment of your chance to emigrate to Australia. If you have enough point, then they will help you to prepare the documents and what to do/say during the interview. This of course come at a cost, but for some ppl it is money well spent.

In the meantime, while your visa is processed, you can try to find available jobs in the internet, maybe contacting the employment agencies listed in the internet. Some of the employment websites are as follows:
www.seek.com.au
www.mycareer.com.au
www.careerone.com.au
Also, if your current employer has a connection with Australian company, use it! Nothing better than talking to prospective employer who already know what we are doing and (hopefully) with good reference from the company they already know.

Hope this helps. Good luck on your application and welcome to Australia :)

If you have a proven professional skill I suggest you try to obtain the Permanent Resident's Visa on your own. It'll take about 8-10 months and many job oppotunities will arise. Trying to obtain a sponsorship could take longer than that.

very complicated as company don't want to be bothered with all the paperwork...i know many very experienced and talented people who tried and ended up going back to their home countries as no cpnies wanted to sponsor them despite their skills...they prefer people have permanent residency or locals

in case you pass on the Australian government internet site they even have this extensive record of occupations they had desire to fill. i do no longer think of you will desire lots success getting sponsorship except you're a nurse or healthcare professional. stepping into Australia is somewhat somewhat no longer ordinary.

you need to get a migration agent to help you...you need to prove that your skills are better than skills of the same person working in the same position who is Australian...lol..

my friend just got approved...his migration agent sent in an application..where he worked had to also send a letter with the application to explain why they hired him instead of an Australian person...and guarantee that they will hire him for so many years..and hire him for a minimum wage of 38K a year...

then he had to undergo english test, health examination...etc..the younger you are the better as it is a point system...
