Well, I would say that, usually, a song {or poem} is open to many and various interpretations. However, if the author / writer has publicly {ie: in interviews} stated that it is about something very specific, then it's a different matter, and your teacher was expecting answers to match {but then, he should have explained that when he graded your response}. But personally, I'd say your teacher is wrong - and I think you should question him on his reasoning because, if he doesn't have a legitimate reason for his opinion {ie: there is a well known 'one meaning'}, then he is trying to stifle students creativity. And just saying "your answer is incorrect" does not give you the constructive feedback you need to understand what he was actually expecting. This could actually be the perfect way in to a deeper, more interesting exploration of personal interpretation and subjectivity...

Probably not exact...
I think it's about going against someone who's oppressing you....like in the video, with the kid and his dad fighting...
Some people decide to not take it anymore and face their problem with a headstrong attitude.

i'm not sure, reading and listening to the lyrics, it seems like they're talking about how they can beat someone and they're not afraid to fight them, and how they see the person's sneaky motives. like i said, not sure, just a guess. what state are you in, enlish II is not a class in alot of high schools in alot of states, unless you're in college. it should be english 10, english 11, ect... good luck!
