Most fast food is bad for your health and no one should be eating a regular diet of it. It is very high in fat and sugar. Neither are good for you in large quantities. Diabetics in young people has gone through the roof and the medical costs to all of us is huge never mind the problems these young people have to struggle with because of this disease. We can't stop the advertising of fast food, that's a fact of life. And we can't stop people from going there. Perhaps the answer is to put stricter regulations on the industry itself, an issue the politicians don't want to touch bet on that.

Whether fast food advertisements are banned or not, people will find a way to get what they want. There are no advertisements promoting cocaine and marijuana but people still use. Fast food is the worst thing you could eat but that doesn't stop people from wanting it.

I think the bad reputation fast food has is wrong. Yes, some fast food is bad BUT NOT ALL FAST FOOD IS BAD. Grilled chicken salads, grilled chicken sandwiches(no sauce) yogurt parfaits(McDonalds), Plain Baked Potatoes @ Wendys, bottled water. Eat a grilled hamburg at Burger King and a side salad with fat free dressing. Skip the sauces and cheeses and desserts, and you'll be OK

So now they want fast food illegal! Can't advertise it .But you'll still sell it,sounds like cigarettes. They don't want the children or the public in general to see any advertisement for any thing bad for us be-cause we don't have minds of our own or the willpower to take our children when theres a special day and know you don't see a stupid video and thats what I call it super size it and go every day.Let people decide whats good for them

I would use the free speech angle. Limiting fast food's ability to advertise is akin to takign away their free speech. Besides, all they do is advertise, you don't have to buy the food. How many people have died over an ad? None. Each of us make up our own minds everyday when we go into a place like that. It isn't like we don't know that it isn't healthy.

People already know that fast food is bad for them but somehow they still end up going because it's convenient and cheap. I know that advertisment works but if the people really wanted to go, they would go regardless of the ad.

Yes. I think advertisement related to food is wrong. People get so wrapped up in advertisement and products that they do not choose wisely in nutrional foods.
I believe Mcdonald's was denied renewal of dinsey toys for the kids meals so that kids will choose better meals and not the toy. You should research that and use it as fact.

I agree--it really is bad for health--you could do a discrimination angle--food that is cheap is usually very unhealthy--and this is food that is often advertised towards lower socioeconomic groups--often of minority ethnicity--you could say it is racist and/or discriminatory because certain populations are being targeted for poor health--eating the unhealthy foods leads to obesity and other health problems...etc...Advertisers should not knowingly endanger their consumers adn their is enough evidence to link fast food with obesity, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease--and through those to many other illnesses--you could say that those advertisers are criminal, etc...
Good Luck...

I think advertisements to kids should be banned. Kids are gullible and easily influenced and they should not be targetted by advertising between TV cartoons for example. However adults should be treated like adults. I know that adults are being increasingly infantalized in maternalist western states but they should still be free to choose on most things.
