I assume you are talking about Afghanistan ? The US and Britain find it necessary to send more troops there because the NATO members of Western Europe have fallin down on the job again. These low lifes will need help one day and I hope the US tells them to eat shiit and die for their shameful non-performance in Afghanistan !

Well as far as the UK is concerned, I expect just as soon as we have got over the deaths of our lads who the trigger happy americans killed, we will probably send a few more to their death.
The UK is good like that, so long as they are "not our children" we can easily send them to fight another countries war and pay lip service to the families when they are sent to oblivion

Crimson : Won't hear from them until they need us ?????
You mean like when the UK desperately need the help of the US in the second world war - and got sod-all until the 11th hour? Or some of the other conflicts we have had since then when the US has done precisely sod-all for us.
It wasn't the Brits that wanted to go hav a new vietname in Iraq was it - it was the americans because Baby bush has a wasp up his hoop about his dad being insulted by Iraq - and having an eye on the oil.
This of course is why the americans invaded - if it was TRULY about tin-pot dictators then there are plenty of those to pick from - but as they have no oil I suspect they are perfectly safe.

get the job done. So at some point these people who all want control of the oil and who hate each others guts are going to be all lovey dovey. The only way to control the area is with a brutal dictator. Too bad we got rid of the one we put into power in the first place. Too bad he started selling oil for euros and we had to show the rest of Opec that if they went off of the dollars for oil program we would open a can of whoop a$$ on them.

THE PROBLEM WITH THE MINDSET IN THIS WAR
you think it can be won
-Not being defeatist
-Not trying to demoralize
But the war in Iraq is not against the U.S., it's between different Islamic factions. The U.S. can't win, because it's not their war anymore. It will never be won, regardless of how many troops are there
