i bought it from this local petshop and i sa that they are braking thru his skin.right on the sides of its funs not on the fins but liek right by them im worried!! is there anything i can do and will it go away soon its bin a week!!

Any chance of getting a picture of this and linking to it for us? It's not ick and certainly doesn't sound like a fungus to me. My first thought is a parasite, but without a picture that's just a wild guess.

YOU SHOULD ASK YOUR PET STORE BUT IT sounds like ick to me you should get the treatment and take out any scaleless and tiny fish because some ick tratments will kill them

sounds like a fungus, live bearers get this a lot. anyway, get some aquarium salt, i use the cheap kind from pet smart, or wal-mart. about $1.50.
