I would keep the gamecube and games because if you bought a PS2 for 25 bucks there is probably something wrong with it.It could be the fan doesn't work like it should or the laser eye in it.Whichever I would keep the gamecube or if you did sell it I would invest in a new Ps2.You might get maybe a month out of it at the most.Hopefully you get a lot longer from it but for 25 bucks the old saying goes you get what you paid for.

Well for 25 that's not bad at all EB sells them still for 99. Madd props to you. As for having a fat one I had mine for 4 years until I dropped it on the floor as I tripped over the cord from the controller. As for reliability the DVD lens could crap out and some games become harder to load. You remember NES days right well that's what its like try, try, and try again then whala! So as for getting it fixed you might as well get a new used one (REFERB) at EB It would cost you just as much. As for selling you gamecube you mine as well go for it because there's no more games for it coming out its all Wii now.

The life span is about four or five years. I have had personal experience with it. It will slowly not let the games play even after you get a new game. So thats when you know to get a new one. Hope I helped.

The bigger (Original) PS2's last longer and are more heavy duty. Ive still got my old PS2 (original one), ive had it for 5 years and ive had no problems at all with it. The new slimmer version doesnt have a fan in it so it is prone to over-heat. Im from UK btw
Hope this helps :)

I dunno. I play 10-15 hours on mine (I have a lot of time on my hands), and I've had my PS2 (the fat one) since it came out, which was... 2000? Anyway, I've had it for a long time, spent many hours on it, and it still hasn't had a problem... and I bet the PS3 has the same quality.
-Hint: Just leave it in one area and only touch it to play some games.
