I never even heard of the lemon thing. When I was pregnant I did the whole snacking on crackers and sipping liquids. But what really worked for me was to sit in front of the air conditioner and take deep breaths!!

I am 13 weeks and the nausea is just starting to ease. I ate so many crackers and Sprite...that I swear I will NEVER eat these again. The ONLY thing that really helped me was medicine. My doctor gave me something that helped my nausea and was okay to take for the baby. It made me sleepy though. Green tea helped a little when I couldn't take the medicine because of work. Just listen to what your body wants. If it wants lemons...my did sometimes....give it lemons. If all else fails, remember that this only goes on for the first couple of months!!

Supposively smelling fresh lemons helps ease a bout of naseau... it kind of calmed me, just a little though. If you have trouble drinking water, if you squeeze a bit of lemon in there to give it just a little lemony taste it'll help you consume more and supposively it helps calm your stomach a little as well. They say to squirt fresh lemon juice in a hanky and stick it in your pocket for the day so you have it ready to take a sniff of when you're feeling bad. A little advice that seems to help many is eat frequently. Don't eat very much just a small serving and people vary thier times from every 30 minutes to every 3 hours. I try to nibble every hour and a half, but this girl I work with had to take a little in every 30 minutes to keep ahold on her morning sickness. Peppermint tea didn't work for me but watered down chicken broth from noodle soup or boiullon cubes helped me get some fluid in- I say watered down because there is a lot of sodium in broth and it's not good for you. Bananas are a good snack. I eat little PB&J sandwiches (1/2) every few days. The combo of pickles and cheese works really well for me- I make a little noodle salad that has chopped up cheddar cheese (Tillamook), sour pickles (not sweet), olives and boiled egg mixed with macaroni noodles and mustard and mayonaisse (not the other tangy stuff) to give it moisture. The eggs are important for vitamins and folic acid, as well as the cheese, pickles seem to help with tummy aches and the pasta is a good filler. These are just a few tips, nothing really makes it just go away but you can do things to ease it until the storm flurries- a routine is one of the most important things. Hope this helps.

This is going to sound so typical, but really there is not too much that you can do. I've been barfy this whole time and I'm 32 wks. I eat allot of saltine cracker's and for some weird reason it seems to help. Plus drinking a ton of water. Avoid those certain smells that also helps me and I say eat what you are really craving and see how that works. For a few weeks all I wanted to eat was grapes and
gala apples no other fruits were acceptable but these 2 kinds. Now I'm onto Banana's and Fry's with gravy and ketchup.Eat what you want just don't eat too large of amounts. Eat smaller portions more often that is also helping subside that Nasty feeling. well good luck expecting mother of round 2.

Do you like the taste of ginger? Like Ginger snap cookies. Do you know what Altoids are. There are those curiously strong mints. They make a ginger flavored one. There pretty strong but if you like the taste there not so bad. Here is a link of what the box looks like. I think they were $5 a box.
They also make a thing called preggie pops. It's a lollipop that's supposed to help. I have never tired them though.
What worked the best for me was tangerines and oranges. I just ate one and it helped a lot. Good luck I hope it all subsides for you soon

nausea of what, pregnancy or illness? If pregnancy, crackers are good, just plain crackers - and for ginger, I would get a real stalk of ginger at the grocery store, shred it with a carrot peeler and put about a tablespoon in a cup of hot water, let it steep -- that way you are getting a good dose of it that hasn't sat on a shelf for a long time... you should really ask your doctor before trying ANYTHING if you are pregnant, though. If you are just ill, then go ahead and try the ginger, it has worked for a lot of people.

Just start trying stuff. I was told to smell alchol, and to drink sprite and eat crackers but none of that worked for me. I finally found a trick of my own. Pickles. Believe it or not. I bought some of the valasic baby dill pickles and just tried one, and it worked like magic. It may or may not work for you everybody is different but hey no harm in trying.. I am now 9 weeks and 3 days and still enjoy my pickles when I start feeling sick.. It works great.....

suck on the lemon, something that worked for me was alcohol pads, sniff them i know it sounds weird but it really helps my midwife told me to do it,
smoke some pot talk it over with your doctor first!!!! my midwife prescribed me something called MARINOL it is a THC pill its basically marijuana in pill form it suppresses nausea and stimulates your appetite
its the best thing I found if medication (phenegren, reglan) fail as well as everything else and you are not gaining weight, i lost 16 punds the first 2 months then gained 5 but hten the morning sickness came back and i lost 12 pounds in 3 weeks at 6 months pregnant!!!

Lemons as in lemon tea, lemonade (with a minimal amount of sugar).
Granny smith apples help, as does gingerale.
