Why is plenty of models are trying to do the Marilyn Monroe? I've seen so many snapshoots of models attempting to duplicate the whole marilyn monroe skirt flying up thing. No one can do it like Marilyn.

Nobody in their right mind would want to be like Marilyn . She was a sad, tragic incredibly messed up human being. During the course of her short life she could not find a way to defeat her demons so they wound up defeating her.
As far as the classic dress flying up shot goes, the photo most often seen is a staged shot that was a re-enactment of the real event with one notable difference;
During the real event she was with Joe D and she was not wearing any undergarments , A bystander noticed that there was a conflict between collar and cuff colors and said something about it. Joe D was always a very private person and to be embarrassed like that in the city that usually worshiped him was a bitter pill to swallow.

Marilyn was a legend in her own time. Many can try to mimic her but she cannot be duplicated. Shes legendary !!!
