I'd say there's about a 50/50 chance it will get worse, but since you've only been queasy and you are already 6 weeks, chances are it probably won't get worse. Morning sickness usually peaks around 6-8 weeks so this may be the worst it's going to get. For me I never threw up, but I was nauseated on and off until I was 13 weeks. I'm on baby #2 and I am 4 weeks 4 days pregnant and the nausea isn't bad just yet. Every pregnancy is different. If the nausea/vomiting gets bad enough, vitamin B6 can help. There's also an over the counter nausea medication that is safe for pregnant women called Emetrol. It can be bought at any pharmacy and at Wal Mart (they have their generic version called AntiNausea liquid). Talk to your doctor if it becomes unbearable. Take heart it should improve in about 6-7 more weeks.

Maybe, it just depends on how your body handles this pregnancy. Not every pregnancy is alike, not even the same woman who is pregnant again will have the same pregnancy as the last. Typically morning sickness lasts the duration of the first trimester (3 mos/12 weeks)- some less, some more. Keep an eye on it and maybe you can get a handle on it now to lessen any worse symptoms coming up- eat really healthy and don't over eat, get in that routine of morning sickness like eating small meals frequently (it's good for your energy and blood sugar as well).

UGHHH!!! you're just on your 6th week ? ..Good Luck then. I am not here to give you sugar coated answers BUT the first trimester of pregnancy can be really hard. This is the time where hormones TAKE OVER YOUR BODY to accomodate the changes happening within you. It will be a roller coaster ride for you from now on and it can last till the end of your first tri mester OR if you're one of those UNLUCKY few ... it'll last till your body wants it to last. I have been pregnant for 6 times and not even once have I discovered any medicine or anything at all that can completely alleviate nausea and vomitting. I SAY NOTHING WORKS 100%.
Sorry if I'm getting you scared BUT this is pregnancy. Just imagine the miracle you have in that tummy. All sacrifices will be worth it. You have no choice but to simply go along it all. It's not permanent. You are strong. All wemoen are strong. We are built for this. YOU CAN MAKE IT!!!!

It usually goes up and down from day to day for the 1st trimester for most women, although some women it may last a little longer. Suck on hard candy, and always keep your tummy with something in it. An empty stomach is worse! I have recently read that smelling fresh cut lemons helps? Haven't tried it but hey worth a shot. Good luck ;)

Hopefully it'll get better. I know you are prob desperate for relief and(hate to say this), but it may get worse before it gets better. I was sick from my 6th wk to my16th wk all day long! Ask your doctor about it If you've tried everything, but nothing works: crackers, dry toast, peppermint, ginger tea, ect....I had to eat several small meals a day to keep from throwing up too much. It was miserable, but it's worth it in the end when you're holding that beautiful baby! I went through it 3 times, the last was twins, & I was sick with all of them! Ask the doctor if he can give you some phenagan(spelling?) cream to put on your wrist. It didn't help me much, but it'd be worth the try. He also said to use vitamin B12 with some kind of prescription, but you'd have to ask.

You probably have at most 6 more weeks to go. It usually subsides by about 3 months. Try ginger ale and saltines! Good luck to you!

I hate to tell you this but yes It is going to get worse, mine got extremely worse around 8-12 weeks. I lost 10 pounds in one month and I couldn't keep anything down, now the nausea is not as bad but I just don't have the feeling to eat, I try to eat for the baby but I just can't

I was sick all day, every day for the first 3 months. My doctor had me try Ginger pills and they helped. I also found drinking lemon water to be helpful. Hang in there, it will end and trust me....It's worth it!
