Just keep your eyes and ears open. The truth will surface. I'd be very cool and cautious with my affection until I had an answer. Is their some school event you could plan to go together with your current boyfriend? If so, at the last minute, back out, and then show up to see if your so called best friend has moved in to take your place. Sounds really fishy to me. Real friends, even young ones. respect their boundaries, and do not flirt with their buddy's boyfriends.
