From your personal experience, how do you gauge it?

i cant im very wary of all people who act sincere or nice they always seem to have an agenda

you can tell in the days following their act or words of sincerity by the way they deal with you.

You really can't!Most people come off sincere to your face,but bad mouth you to other people,unless it's somebody you know,trust and love...it's hard to tell what their motives are!!

in person, I think it's pretty easy. their body language, the way they say things, wording. sometimes you just have to know them better though to gauge. some are harder to read.
and online-it's very difficult.

Sometimes you can tell by the way they are speaking- the tone of voice; how fluent they're saying; are they looking at you; and their facial expression.
I look at their facial expressions to see whether they're lying.
