I know that you should do kegals to strengthen your vaginal muscles and such but although I know that you do what you would do as if you were stopping your urine flow but I always hear to hold that for so many seconds and I struggle to do this. I feel like I can only hold it for like 2 seconds, will that help at all and how do I hold it for longer????

Strengthening those muscles is supposed to make it less likely that you will tear during childbirth. Nothing is a guarantee, of course. But I linked a web page with some info. Basically you can do them how ever it feels comfortable for you. Perhaps you don't have the hang of it very well. next time you are going to the bathroom, stop the flow of urine. release some urine and stop the flow again. Do that a few time until you know which muscles you should be holding. Then you can start practising when you are not urinating.
