I need help, can someone tell me what this indicator light means on the my 99 pontiac sunfire. It is a rectangle and inside the rectangle is what looks like a wavy water line at the bottom with an arrow. It keeps blinking on and off every so often and I bought my car used with no manual!

I also have a '99 Pontiac Sunfire. That indicator is for your coolant level. I recently had mine come on as well, so just add some coolant. Make sure to use coolant specific to GM models. Also, if the light comes on again after you add coolant, have all the hoses checked to make sure that there aren't any small leaks. If that doesn't solve the problem, you could have a faulty sensor. Hope this helps!

more than likely your radiator overflow tank needs coolant added to it, I think the sensor is at the top of the overflow tank on that and if it's down just a hair it will flash like that.
