were they given to you by gf/bf? family member? did you buy them on your own and if so was it a scary experience for you? There is just something about being in the shoe section of a store and looking at the sandals that I find to be somewhat erotic and maybe scary. Heck I probably look like a suspicious thing to loss prevention as I have to approach this section of the store in a secretive way.

to the ladies, I know the fear sounds weird to you becuase you are able to wear sandals without thinking twice about it.

ok it is not becuase I think my feet are ugly, has to do more with feeling something is missing by having the feet exposed, I guess most guys feel this way otherwise you would see more guys in sandals. AS to the ladies it may sound weird to you cuz you wear them without thinking twice about it.

i finally got my husband interested in purchasing his first pair of sandals in hawaii. those cabana looking plastic kind -- i even bought a pair -- sooo comfortable. he wears them all the time now around the house... anywho -- he got them due to being on vacation, in hawaii -- there's something about being in hawaii, etc. that you immediately want to wear sandals and flowery shirts.

so i say... treat yourself to a trip to hawaii and get that pair of sandals.

haha nice question, well, i guess ill start off at the beginning. When i was little i hated shoes, and never wore them, only to school and i had clogs of all things HAHA but when i was 8 or 9 my uncle ronnie, hes a real cool guy, lives in cali and he likes to spend money haha, anyway he bought me my first pair of sandals, which were rainbow most comfortable shoes i have ever had, there are like 40 or 50 bucks but they last at least a couple of years. He bought his first pair about 15 years ago, and has only bought a nother pair recently. He thought it would be a good idea if he continued the trilogy sort of speck, and so he passed them down to me. Ever time he comes to visit me he buys me a new pair which is every 5 years, so thats about as long as the shoes last. I got a new pair on my 13th birthday and have had the same ones since. Im 18 now and they are ALL i wear. I think there is a live time guarantee on them too, if they break before they wear out, you get a new pair free. So he will be here in a month or so and i cant wait till i get some new rainbows!!!!!!!!! nicole!

ok, are we talking sandals as in leather closed toe type sandals or more like the surfer type sandals that have the nylon strap that goes around your ankle and velcros shut, usually in patterns, look at the reef brand or maybe rainbows? My husband has a pair of the latter mentioned ones. I would suggest going into a surf shop and looking around or maybe going online if you are nervous about buying that first pair. try zappos.com they are a online shoe store and I think they may sell men's shoes in addition to womens. If you have a girlfriend or just a female friend whose opinion you value take her along and get her to help you out. Two suggestions though: 1) please no socks with sandals, it just doesn't look right and 2) make sure your feet/toenails look good. In other words, no yellow overgrown toenails or rough heels/skin, you don't want to be sporting nice sandals but have nasty feet. Go get a pedicure first. Good luck!

Believe me, I feel ya dog! I go through the same anxiety to this day when I even get NEAR the sandal section. Anyway, the trick I used was to look at something close by, and use darting eyes to figure out which pair I liked. When no one was around, I quickly strolled by and grabbed the pair in my size, proceeded to the quietest corner, and try one on quickly. One tip is to wear a pair of easy on / easy off shoes when you do this...it will make the chances of the mission being compromised much lower. Also, try to go when the store is least busy - perhaps near opening or closing time. Good luck. :-)

Relax, I manage a shoe store, trust me, we want guys to come in and buy sandals, and believe it or not, a lot of gals don't like their feet to be seen! Just go to a shoe store with a large selection of open stock( where they keep all the inventory out, so you don't have to ask), and start trying different styles on til you find some you like. you might try a fisherman style, since most of the toe is closed in.

Well I'm a guy and I can honestly say that I was pretty scared to buy/wear sandals and I still kinda am, it's just like the feeling of being naked ya'know? I don't know it's hard to explain, but anyway my mom bought them for me.

I actually hate sandals! I don't have ugly feet or anything because people say they look pretty young. I just like slippers and shoes better, like my converse or BettyBoop slippers! My mom and dad got me my first pair of sandals.

You need to be more confident in your sexuality, then go buy the pair of sandals...by Gawd!!! I am from Arkansas and we go barefoot so a strap over our feet don't bother us.

relies upon on your type, in case you gown in issues with a good number of feathers or beads (basicly indie type) then get the 1st pair yet once you have a tendency to gown edgier with a good number of silver and dark colorations then get the 2d pair. in my opinion i think of that the 1st pair must be positioned with plenty extra issues
