Although not necessarily a sure sign of illness, it could be, so take a sample now, and take it to the doctor's tomorrow. Even in cold weather, you should drink at least 8 x 250ml glasses of water daily, and considerably more in warm weather: many people don't do this, and wonder why they get things like kidney stones. Ask your doctor! Eat healthily, too, and don't drink more than 4 standard alcoholic drinks/day (2 for females; none if pregnant or planning to be - there is NO "safe" level for a foetus!), and at least a day off it/ week; preferably more.

It's high levels of protein in your urine. In other words, you have a Urinary Tract Infection, commonly referred to as a UTI.

You cannot fix the problem with any over the counter medications. You will need to see a doctor for an antibiotic. It is very important that you don't wait any longer as it can cause damage to your kidneys. Believe me, taking a daily cranberry supplement works WONDERS!

If this is a common occurrence then I highly suggest you start taking a daily suplemt of cranberry pills. You can get a large bottle that should last between 1 and 2 months for only $6 at any Wal Mart. You can also get this suplement at any vitamin shop.

Good luck!

You probably have a urinary tract infection. See a doctor for antibiotics and drink lots of fluids. Cranberry juice is best but other acidic juices are good (orange, tomato, grapefruit, etc)
