Okay... I'm almost 19 weeks pregnant and my husband wants to name our baby boy ROCKY COVE.... I get to name the girl if we are having a girl and boy for him.... but I think that name is not nice. How can I convince him not to name our son that if we ever have a son. We'll find out in two weeks.

Maybe he is just joking with you???? If he isn't I hope you are having a girl...If it is a boy tell him that when his son starts school the other children are going to make fun of him to no avail....does he want his son to go through that??? Hope you can convince him otherwise....Good Luck!

Find a name that Rocky is the nickname and you can keep Cove as a middle name, that sounds nice. You could name the baby if its a boy, Richard or Rodney.

For one.... you should both like the name!!! It belongs to both of you guys! Yes, Rocky Cove is stupid... the kid will be made fun of nomatter what, he should know better. (Maybe you could come up with some ridiculous name for a girl that you know he'll hat and see how he likes it and he might come around. Besides... your the mom put your foot down and tell him your baby will not be named that and he hasnt the choice of that name anymore, choose another one!!! (your pregnant... milk that mood swing, cry a little...)

There has been times my hubby wanted to name my babies outragious names *nothing like rocky cove* but just unusualy..usually if u tell them that u really dont like the name and to think of something else nice they will understand....if your man is the type that doesnt listen and does what he wants then really he is your husband and u made a vow with him...good luck and try to talk to him calmly...

ask him if he would go around with that name? you both need input into the name regardless of the sex. You are both the parents, find something you both can agree upon or start praying for a girl!

Put your food down. The name has to be one that you both like. Ask him to pick a new one. Just like if it's a girl and he really doesn't like the name you pick out, he can veto it as well.

That is the dumbest name I have ever heard. He should have some say but that is ridiculous. Just tell him, it is not happening period. You both have to like the name...
