Hey there--sandals with jeans are awesome! I know it can be really hard to break out of our fashion comfort zones, but trust me, the joy you will feel in doing something you've really been wanting to do will not only give you a delightful feeling of freedom, but your joy in it will make others think, "I like that guy's style!"
I know how you feel because I was in a similar situation for a long time. I'd been wanting a pair of red sandals forever, but because of my limited budget I thought, "Well, if I'm buying a pair of shoes I should get black or brown. It will go with more and I can wear them for a long time." But every time I wore the black or brown shoes, I wished they were red. Finally I broke down a bought a pair of red sandals, and I wear them with everything and I feel so much self-confidence and joy just because I'm doing what I wanted to do and not worrying about what other people think. You know the saying--it's the little things in life (for example, sandals with jeans, red shoes) that make it special!

Just act confident. Any girl can tell when you are insecure. If you are not really confident, wear a Hollister or A&F shirt with the jeans and sandals. Try not to care about what other people think, as long as you feel cool.

First get a pedicure. Your feet will look better and you will feel more secure about them after someone has been touching them for an hour straight. Then wear sandals around the house until you feel comfortable. Or if you feel insecure just wear regular shoes.

It's a great look. I think you have a little bit of a hang-up though. Now, I'm a female and have no problem wearing a short skirt (I like my legs) but I never wear sleveless anything. I am very self-conscious of my upper arms. But in your case, someone already suggested getting a pedicure. That's good. Plus someone said start wearing sandals around the house, etc. I think that is good, too.

Ah, tap into your free spirit and imagine yourself back in the '60s following the surf and bongo's. Sandals are great, get yourself a professional pedicure which can prime you for exposing those tender hooves. A pedicure not only shows you are a gentleman of distinction but the touching and massage that goes with it will help you through your inhibitions. Babes appreciate a good foot....not a weenie dweeb hidden behind his tube socks and gym shorts.

I grew up in a beach town where all the men wore sandals in the summer (or flip flops). Do you live in a colder climate? Guys from up north are also much less likely to take of their shirts in public, as well.
There really is no equation that says sandals=not masculine, unless you are wearing high-healed sandals, I guess.

The majority of guys? I am a guy and I know tons of other guys, and I've never heard of this insecurity. Is this some religious or cultural thing?

Yeah I would see where you would think that you would be giving up some of your man hood, it's only natural for you to feel like this. But just feel confident about what you wear and pimp it. We all go through changes with our ages and I think this is just a change for you. Just feel comfortable about what you wear and don't worry about noone else or what they think, heck they don't buy your groceries or your clothes for this case. Walk tall!
