why would it be bad? it makes your legs look nicer too, in my opinion, because it helps to exfoliate dead skin cells. i like gilette venus and their satincare shave gel. both are relatively inexpensive. i have fine hair so they last longer than more most people.

Shaving cream simply lubricates your skin and allows the razor to do it's job with as little skin irritation as possible. Some shaving creams come with skin softeners and medications to aid in this regard, but this varies from brand to brand with mixed results. If you do not have shaving cream, soap will work as a lubricant and once again some soaps will work better than others. Also, I have found that hair conditioner makes a very good lubricant for shaving your legs or any other areas as well. In regards to the question of not using shaving cream being bad, anytime you shave you have the chance of irritating the skin. The irritation can be mild or extreme depending on you. I have seen cases where extreme irritation led to infection, and illness and scarring can result, but this is truly the extreme. If you do have skin irritation after shaving, leave it alone and see if the irritation goes away on its own. If not try an astringent to disenfect the area and use a topical skin cream if it persists. One last thing, use a good razor and you will eliminate a lot of your problems as well. A sharp razor and some kind of good lubricant and you should be able to shave on a daily basis if you want too without any ill effects.

Shavings not bad for you. Ive been doing it since i was 11. You can get shaving cream at any cvs store or any pharmacy to or just get cheep ones at any other stores but they might not make your skin as soft and might make them feel a little rougher not as smooth if it was a cheep shaving cream. shaving makes your legs look sexier but if you don't do it often your hair will grow back really thick,

No - shaving your legs isn't bad. I recommend Schick Quattro razors.
As for shaving cream, Aveeno for sensitive skin is my all time favorite. A little goes a long way, it leaves my skin feeling soft & smooth. (www.aveeno.com for product information)
The combination of these 2 products leave me w/ the smoothest legs I've ever had from shaving. (I prefer waxing but shaving is more convenient.)

No shaving is actually good for your skin it helps remove dead skin cells. Kind of like giving yourself a facial except on your legs. Try skintimate shaving cream, smells clean and helps moisten your legs.

What could be bad about it? It's a pain, yes, but it's not wrong. Any shaving cream you use is fine. You can even use a men's cream, but I use Skintimate or Gilette. They each have moisturizers.
