I can't tell what exactly you want to know, but I will do my best.

I just moved to Houston from NJ last Octobert. I used a Taiwanese moving company (they do LD move here in the U.S) Check out www.luckymoving.com . They did an excellent job for me and they are usually about 10-15% cheaper than those big moving companies.

You should also decide where you want to live. I'd recommend renting first before you buy. Houston is such as big area, so unless you already know where you want to live, you should explore as much as you can. I am currently living in KATY and very happy with my decision.

Do you have a job waiting? Make sure you have a solid job offer before you move. It shouldn't be hard to find a job in Houston, thanks to tremedous growth going on here. However, finding a job first can help you make a decision on where to live.

Anyway, good luck

Cleavland TX, is located about 50 miles north of downtown Houston. Get on highway US-59 and head south and you will find Houston.

First of all, why do u want to move to Houston? Hope you like hot and sticky summers. Anyways, call up some moving companies on prices for moving your stuff. Some charge on weight, which they can help you estimate, and some charge on each individual item. I moved from Austin to PA with some weird moving company..I think it was called Vanlinesforu so dont use them because it took 2 weeks after we drove here to get our stuff! Then they ended up charging more for our stuff when they got here. So get a price quote and have it in writing.

Make sure you have a job and a place to stay. Unless you have a house and family rent a truck and avoid a moving company. The good ones cost and the others can rip you off bad.
