you can't get in trouble simply for having it as long as it's not a replica of a government issue ID. however, using it can get you into trouble.

The short answer is yes. Anytime you use or present a false identification for the purpose of committing a crime, you are subject to arrest and prosecution. In particular, if you give a false name, date of birth, to a police officer, you will be charged. It sounds as though you are under the legal age to purchase tobacco and lottery, so presenting a false ID is a crime.

If it purports (claims) to be an official govt-issues (state or federal) ID, then yes.

If it is a fake club card, or something else issued by a private individual or company, then just possessing it is not illegal.

However, using it to commit fraud, by getting someone to believe the information is real, would be a separate matter.

you cant nessesarily get in trouble for having a fake id, but if people find out youve got a fake id, you can get in trouble for the actions you took while using that fake id. cause obviously what your doing isnt leagal for you if you need a fake id to do it. there are going to be punishments, it just depends on where you are and what you are doing when you use it. do yourself a favor, and just stop using it.

fraud is fraud is fraud. If an ID is used for fraudulent reasons such as lying about your age, and if the identity is used in a crime, then you are at the mercy of the courts. We are allowed to use a different "name" as long as it is not for illegal purposes.
