Voting is a civic responsibility. If you don't vote, you are not only letting down your fellow countrymen by staying silent, you are compromising your right to say anything for or against the government that comes to power.

I would say a civic responsibility. Voting is one of two way We The People have a say in the actions of our government. The other way is by serving on juries.

Being the free-est nation in the world, we are the worst voting nation in the world. It shows that people with freedom feel that it better not to vote and try to control their density.
Even more so it becomes every voter in the U.S. civic and personal responsibility to vote.

Civic: You want the country to do the right thing and be ran by the right people, you need to vote. If every thought it wasn't our responsibility to vote, it wouldn't be a "government for the people, by the people".
Personal: Don't vote? Don't bytch!

Both. You vote because of your personal beliefs and all citizens should be civically responsible. We owe that to our country which is still the greatest nation on this planet.

It's both.
Chosing who one wants to lead is their personal responsibility. Voting (so that their choice is known) is their civic responsibility.
Don't let others take your voice. Be heard. Be We the People!

I believe it is a civic responsibility. Where would we be today if voters didn't exercise this, and especially if you're a woman!!
