"The Prince" is probably the most famous book on politics ever written. It has been described as a scientific treatment of politics as it is practiced rather than as it ought to be practiced.

um...it was one of the first books released at the beginning of Renaissance that treated a theme not related to religion, in a humanism way. Not to mention the book was freaking fresh, compare to all those 'BE A GOOD, MORAL KING' bullsit before The Prince
