I think the guy who said 6'2" 180 is right about probably what the ideal freshman QB should be, but honestly I have seen a wide range on the freshman level. Playing freshman football is really about two things:

1. Establishing or improving on the fundamentals of the game. Touching up on the school's offense and learning the right reads.

2. Being tough. Every high school team I have ever seen has always responded well to a tough QB who's not afraid to get his shirt dirty. (Not necessarily always at practice mind you)

Be in good shape and don't worry in height/weight as much as the fundmentals you can improve on and follow the weight lifting program set forth by your program.

I'm a freshman, and i play linebacker, so i wouldnt know an exact weight for a QB, but heavy enough to manuver around, and still be able to take a hit when needed. A good 130?

180lbs. at least. It varies from state to state but generally 180 and 5'10" - 6'3" is a good weight and height to start your freshman year.

Depends on your height. Small enough to move but big enough to take hards shots.

Im 5-10 180lbs in 12th grade.

You should weigh enough to play well, and not get your head knocked off if you get hit. It depends on your height and build. Is your nickname skinny?

at least 140 lbs. my qb was about that heavy, you need to be at least 5' 9". you need to see over the tops of the o-line. trust me, i was on o-line last year.
