First off, Nickelback does NOT sing meaningful music. Second, there's lots of good music out there, it's hard to suggest anything without knowing what you already like. That being said, check out The Flaming Lips, especially their album "Soft Bulletin." Also, anything by Wilco is pretty awesome. The Shins are totally awesome too. If you want something cool and different check out Manu Chao. Some great reggae that lots of people don't know about is "Til Shiloh" by Buju Banton, or most anything by Don Carlos (Harvest Time is a personal fav). Beck's "Guerro" is awesome, if you want something more upbeat. I also love the RHCP, the Smashing Pumpkins, Wu-Tang (36 Chambers especially) and A Tribe Called Quest. That should get you started. Oh yeah, check out Blind Mellon too. Great stuff.

Well here are some of my favorite bands..Filter, Alice In Chains, Janes Addiction, Godsmack, Korn, Velvet Revolver,Staind. But in my opinion the best band to listen to is Stone Temple Pilots...they are like my favorite band of all time man.. They had countless hits and sold over 25 million records worldwide.

you can find this band on myspace.deepfield they are from charleston south carolina and they are really good their cd should be out about june 12 th this year.check it out.
