It should be something that you feel strongly about. For example, if you live in the US and are a late riser, the change to Daylight Savings Time effects your day to day living, and probably for the worse! You could do a paper about how long it takes the body to adjust to waking up in the dark again after having it be light in the morning before the change. You could then comment on fatigue, mental slowness, and maybe even anger that the time change triggers--not to mention missed appointments and computer clock adjustments!
This is just one example--but do you get the idea?

I wish I had more info to answer like what class its for - how long it has to be ect - but the 1st thing that came to mind about affecting your day to day living was.... Traffic
