Im in my 4th semester at a community college. Last year my grades werent very good, but this past semester I go A's, B's and 1 C. I'm going just as good so far this semester. I wanna be at a 4 year school by winter 2008, but im really scared to apply because im afriad i'll get rejected from all the schools I apply to.

i wanna go away more than I want to breath, and I dont think I could handle the rejection, which is also why I havent talked to any advisors at school yet.

Your grades sound decent enough to get you into a 4 year school. It may not be an upper-teir University, but you should be able to get in somewhere. People w/ worse grades in HS got into 4-year schools. Transferring from another school w/ those grades shouldn't be a problem.

You need to just suck up your pride and do it!! Apply to a few different universities. I guarantee you will get into atleast one of them! Def talk to your advisors right now ... the sooner you begin the applications and get going the faster you will be at a 4 yr university! If it makes you feel better you don't have to tell anyone (except your advisors b/c you def want their help) that you are applying and then when you get into one of them (which you will!) you can tell everyone where you are going! If you don't try you will never know and always wonder. Stop stressing b/c you will get into a university and you will appreciate it more then most b/c this is something you really want! Good luck! and just do it lol :)

Just apply. If you want to go away that badly, it doesn't do you any good not to. If you're worried about getting rejected, apply to some schools that are easier to get into than the ones you were originally thinking of. Your grades could be better, sure, but they're not so bad that you won't be able to get in anywhere.

Here's the athlete in me:

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Don't let being scared of being rejected stop you from applying. If you want to go away so badly you can't breathe, think of it this way: If you don't apply you don't even have a CHANCE to go away. If you want to get away, then you've got to apply. Face your fears, seize the day, and all that stuff.

Also, even if you DO get rejected, your first application will get your foot in the door. You'll get your application in and you can always re-apply. Re-application shows a school you're dedicated to attending the school.

if you dont apply your just getting rejected anyway so if you do apply you dont have anything to loose remember by not applying theres no way your goin to get in but with your grades your more than likely to get in i wish you all the best good luck
