In my last story we know that Kitty did not sell the Longbranch. She forgave Matt for putting his job first and basically everything returned to normal in old Dodge City.
It is the begining to another day in this old West town. Matt received a telegram from Hayes City asking him to travel down to Mexico for a matter of extradition. He went over to the Longbranch to tell Kitty about it. "How long will you be gone,Matt?" "For as long as it takes...probably a month or so." "Oh,Matt. I'll miss you so." "I'll be back before you know it," said the big man as he took another swig of his beer. "It'll be a (1)blue moon of a life until you return,Cowboy." Matt smiled and reached over to squeeze her hand. "I'm not happy when we're apart,Kitty. Uh, what are you doing tonight?" "I've got plans." Matt looked startled and dismayed. "Plans! What plans?" Kitty smiled as she watched his reaction. "I've got plans with YOU.....all night long." Matt and Kitty exchanged that old familiar twinkle in their eyes.
The next morning (sorry...no lurid details of their night of passion!) came too soon. Kitty woke up first and looked at Matt.....he was sound asleep. "Oh, God..Please let the time (3)runaway quickly. Please ?" Matt heard this and pulled her into his arms. "Kitty. You....You (5)will you still love me tomorrow? You're going to wait for me,right?" " Matt Dillon...I've been waiting for you for the past 20 years. I'm not going anywhere." Matt decided that another 20 minutes of quality time with Kitty was definitely in order!
As Matt was getting his gear all together and beginning to mount his horse, the Postmaster was crossing the street. Kitty yelled out:"(2) Please Mr. Postman...Can you tell me how long it takes for a letter to reach Mexico?" He answered her question and went on his way. "Well, Red.....I'll see you just as soon as I can. Take good care of yourself." He gave her a little peck on her tear-stained cheek and started to ride off. Kitty stood in the middle of Front Street watching him disappear as he rounded the corner and headed out of Dodge. (5) "Take good care of my baby, God. Matt Dillon is my life."

My baby wrote me a letter...said she had Runaway...
I cried and said Please Mr. Postman I am having a Blue Moon of a day....
I tried to ask her Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow
And back came her reply much to my sorry
So I can hope and I can think maybe
But whoever stole her please Take Good Care of My Baby....
