I'm TTC and yesturday I got some spotting and today its gone. I'm pretty sure it was implantation bleeding but I did also have a pap earlier that day. I have never bleed during a pap thats why I'm thinking it was implantation bleeding. I'm due for my period in a couple of days. When would I get a positive result?

Implantation usually happens 7-9 days post ovulation. However, only some women get the implantation bleeding. HPT should be taken 14 days post ovulation to be accurate. THerefore, the earliest you should take a test is 5 days from now. For the test to be accurate, you should really wait another 7 days.

I've had 3 tests (different pregnancies) show up positive the day or two before I expected my period. I'd say if you got an early test it might work, but I'd wait I week to make sure...unless of course you are impatient (like I always am) or you have the money to waste. Hope you are...good luck!
