Changes in the sun caused the earth to leave the ice age.
Right now, all of the planets in the solar system have global warming.
NASA has said that great temperature changes are normal. Just 10,000 years ago, the earth warmed up extremely in less than 20 years. There were not many people around at that time.
NASA:
"Rapid changes between ice ages and warm periods (called interglacials) are recorded in the Greenland ice sheet. Occurring over ONE OR TWO DECADES, the warming of the Earth at the end of the last ice age "

I can write a paper on this answer. If you really want to know the real answer as to what causes fluctuations in climate, look up. I bet you will see clouds. When temperatures are low, clouds fail to form because they need warm moist air, and less sunlight is reflected away, causing temperatures to slowly rise. When temperatures become too high, more water evaporates, more clouds form, and more sunlight is reflected. Earths atmosphere is composed of many things, CO2 composes 0.0383 percent of the atmosphere while water vapor can compose between 1 and 4 percent of the atmosphere. I would say that the variance between 1 and 4 percent of water vapor would probably have just a little itty bitty bit more effect on climate than the .0383 percent of co2. Earths temperature has been this high before and it has probably been higher and I would say that it is bad science to come to such a hasty conclusion about global warming, especially considering we have had the coldest winter this year than in the last 50. One last word on clouds and water vapor, clouds can both trap and reflect heat, they are able to reflect up to 35% of the energy which hits them, which means the earth will stay warmer at night when terrestrial radiation is reflected back and cooler during the day when solar radiation is reflected away. Also keep in mind that carbon dioxide is heavier than air, and therefor does not soar into the upper atmosphere just to keep us warm, it tends to sink to the earth where it can be absorbed by plants, the oceans, and algae.

Some geoscientists consider the Earth to still be in an Ice Age since glaciation, even at the polar regions, is a rare event in the Earth's history. When you consider that the Pleistocene Epoch began 1.6 million years ago and the Wisconsonian Stage of the Pleistocene ended 0.01 million years ago (11,000 years ago to be more precise), you can see that it wasn't all that long ago that Pleistocene glaciation ended. Furthermore, since geoscientists do not know the reasons for the advent of Pleistocene glaciation, they can't predict if more glaciation is one the way. I really don't think the citizens of Wisconsin want two miles of ice on top of their homes.

We aren't even causing much global warming. an inconvienient truth had very little that was true, hardcore fact.
___
as for the ice age, a gaint meteor hit the earth som were nEar the gulf of mexico, and debris flew out and blocked the sun rays so the earth became colder, and eventually the debris settled, and the suns rays came back to earth to warm it up.

Most morons here have said "Oh, the climate fluctuates. Al Gore is right". What people don't realize is that THIS HAPPENS NATURALLY. We are not affecting what is happening now! I suppose all the dinosaurs could have bought a few to many SUV's or forgot to change a lightbulb.

I'm not 100% sure but I think the ice age was caused by the meteor that hit the earth. I guess it just took awhile for the earth to get warm again.
