LOL ... why do you think someone suggested looking for those kind of books? Learn how to help yourself a bit ...

Of course, a librarian could help. Do you need help finding a lbibrary too?

Local book shops have the right type of sections too.

START HERE:
"How to Win Friends and Influence People" - Dale Carnigie
"The Power of Positive Thinking" - Norman Vincent Peale
... or if you want a collection of short stories, try a series "Chicken Soup for the soul"

I am not a big fan of self help books. There is not much research on the effectiveness of them. Find a good counselor and talk with them. It will be worth the effort. If you want help of where to start find my 2 most recent post and I go into depth, or just write and i will put you in the right direction.

Generally, yes.
Others may wish you all of the best, but the only one who can help you is you.
And the ony one who knows what reading level and style you respond to, is you.
Good luck!

Forget the books--just slap yourself a few times and come to your senses.

Of course not...if you go to the metaphysical section first, the guides there will lead you.
