Me? Well, initially, I would say YES.
I mean, honestly, who wouldn't like to be immortal?
HOWEVER, I believe that I would get tired of it. You see, our lives are centered on the fact that we do NOT have forever and act accordingly so. We abuse substances and grapple with each other so that we can reach as high as we possibly can. If we spent our lives in the knowledge that we would live forever, how could our brains compute? We can hardly grasp the idea of infinity, much less an iota of the MEANING of eternity.
Would we suffer insomnia? Paranoia?
Would we value life more? Less?
Would we fall victim to depression?
Our entire way of life would change.
Would we endeavor to educate ourselves?
Where is the limit? When would we have had enough of life? When would such a deep drought of existence choke us to death with apathy and lack of motivation.
Why accomplish anything? There will always be time tomorrow, or later.
Wheres the competition?

If I were to choose to live forever, it would not be on this world. My senses scream for the adventure, yet deep down inside, I know that it would not be enough. It would never be enough.

Well, seeing as how it's never been done before (at least, to my knowledge, it hasn't), I'd be willing to give it a swing. There's a lot to learn about this reality, and 50-100 years just isn't enough, in my opinion. Still, one has to ask: What is forever? If it never ends, is it possible that one could possibly go eight kinds of wacko?

I recommend reading "Time Enough For Love," by Robert Heinlein, if you haven't already. RAH covers the subject wonderfully. Also, "The First Immortal," by Mark Halprin, goes into extreme detail about how it could happen. "The Immortals," by James Gunn (I think) looks at immortalism from a sociological and medical angle, but it's a good read. After reading those, I'd recommend hitting all the metaphysical books about reality, hyperspace/real space and the rest.

well see that's a tough question if i had been born say back in 1700 something or even farther back i would have said yes i want to live forever in a heartbeat. but that was when the world was coming up with new inventions that were good and use full. these days not only is America on its way downhill i have yet to decide if the rest of the world is so if i thought the future was worth seeing then yes. most likely yes i would want to live forever. i would just hope i would just hope i didn't live to regret it.

Depends on the scenario. Live forever here, no. Someplace else? Yes. We all know this world sucks if your poor, and its great if your rich. I'd rather live in a place where everything is equal. Where people don't use other people. Where money isn't a controlling factor. Where politics isn't corrupted. And most of all, where children aren't defiled in any shape or manner. So if I have to die, to live forever someplace else, I'll take it...

If only I lived forever, and not my friends and relatives, it would become very depressing to know everyone I loved was gone and I was left to carry on for eternity. If everyone lived forever,
the world would soon self-destruct from over population.
Simple answer: no, I would not like to be immortal and accept death as a natural part of life.

---NOT in this present world, which is sinking deeper & deeper into the mire of hate, war, crime, hypocrisy etc.

---YES --on the earth that fulfills a great prophecy and promise by Christ."......thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..."Matthew 6:9, 10. This Kingdom will bring these conditions:

AT REVELATION 21:3Then I heard a mighty voice from the throne and I perceived its distinct words, saying, See! The abode of God is with men, and He will live (encamp, tent) among them; and they shall be His people, and God shall personally be with them and be their God.(A)
4God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away.(B)
5And He Who is seated on the throne said, See! I make all things new. Also He said, Record this, for these sayings are faithful (accurate, incorruptible, and trustworthy) and true (genuine).(C)AMPLIFIED BIBLE

--OF INTEREST is this prophecy has to be for the earth, simply because tear, pain, dying has never occurred in the heavens AND God could be with persons on earth without being in their very presence!

TO ILLUSTRATE: A parent can be with his child who is flying from NY to Chicago by checking with people along the way that he has arranged for that proper escort is being conducted, and by being in touch by wireless on the computer or phone, with those in charge & that they are taking proper care for the child ---that they are eating, and are safe.

--Thus God can be with mankind by arranging from heaven for the needs who are living forever on the earth!

--AND NOTE how special the experience will be:

11And the humble do possess the land, And they have delighted themselves In the abundance of peace. ... 28For Jehovah is loving judgment, And He doth not forsake His saintly ones, To the age they have been kept, And the seed of the wicked is cut off. 29The righteous possess the land, And they dwell for ever on it. "-

--The context is talking about individuals experiencing such conditions
