"Mom, I need to see a doctor. I think something is wrong." is always a good start.

If she asks what is wrong, you can break it to her in small pieces. Start by saying it's a female problem. She's a *she*, y'know. I'd bet she'll be very understanding. If you feel comfortable, explain further what the problem is. Go slowly with the explanation so you don't feel to weird about it. But ultimately, if you aren't okay talking about it, all she really needs to know is that something is wrong.

Remember, you ALWAYS have the right to patient confidentiality, no matter what your age. If you are uncomfortable seeing a doctor with your mom present, please speak up. Your doctor can tell your mom to leave, and your mom has to comply.

If you dont want to talk about something that private with your mom then try yo leave a note in a place where she(and only she )will find it!

Your mom will understand ... if not - talk to somebody you trust and let them know ... my auntie is my backbone ... try not to be so embarrassed about it - the sooner you talk about it the sooner you can get it checked out ... good luck ... !

just talk to her alone (as in, get your dad out of the room)...and say 'mom, i think i'm having some problems down there'...don't worry, she won't be grossed out or anything. she has one too. she wants what's best for you, so don't sweat it.
