I have lived here my whole life. I'm not here to bash Jersey, but I have been on Craigslist for the past few months and noticed people really go out of their way to defend the slightest joke about this state, and quoting those tired "Jersey Facts". We have Philly and NYC and the coast (I have lived by the beach my whole life), but we do not have palm trees. This February was extremely cold and windy, down to 15 and less, and about 25 degrees on average. This is a terrible place to be in the coldest months.

I also find people in my area having to make a big deal out of it, when it's really not that great (Asbury Park area). Asbury was kind of cool back in the 70's, I guess, but it's never going ot be the same. Don't kid yourself! I'm sure this happens all over the country, but I still can't help but find it disturbing. NJ isn't that great! I'll go out on a limb and say that NYC isn't that great, and the Philly area is better. Of course, it all depends on the individual.

It only sucks because you want it to suck.
It is so true when living in one place for too long or only moving there one never seems to give it a second look over,
Make changes in your life, for your life for New Jersey.
Be that one to stand tall , put out or shut up.

You may be one but to that one you could mean the world.
In your case Be that one to make that change for your world- New Jersey.
Or if fire to hot for the kitchen get out!

I wouldn't think that inside of a cell is" just gorgeous" Your police force & politicians think, & probably are above the law.Your state police still wear Gestapo uniforms from the Nazi era & probably act the same. I was up there one time & saw a cop car with tinted windows at a WAWA, so I asked the cop nicely if tinted windows were acceptable in jersey. And that ASSHOLE was ready to lock me up for being a "wise guy" over a simple question Hey , I was 59 at the time and just wanted the truth. Tinted windows are not aloud.

My mother died and left me her house. She had a boyfriend living with her at the time. When I tried to get him out, I was told I needed a Court Order. Within a day of serving him the Order, I was hit with a palimony suit against the estate. His lawyer was a municipal judge in the town. He also had a bunch of Legal Aid lawyers helping him. My lawyer charged my $20,000 in two months. I had no choice but to settle. Did I tell you there is no common law marriage in NJ? Some activist NJ Supreme Court made oral commitments of support the law of land opening up hundreds of these types of oral contract lawsuits. It took two years to get him out of the house. He wrecked the house and was hoarding cats. The cops wouldn t touch him. Animal Control would not rescue the cats. NJ is one crooked, dysfunctional state. The last place you would want to live.
