I have never seen an episode of the Sopranos, but I like watching Dancing with the Stars and before he dropped out of the show, TV guide magazine and E-online called him a nickname. Does anyone know how he got that nickname?

If you're talking about Big Pussy then it was his characters name on The Sopranos.

It was mentioned on the SOPRANOS that when his character was younger, he was a skilled "cat burglar." Hence, with his size, later in life, his nickname.

You mean "Vinny" (or Vinnie)? It's a common nickname for Vincent.
Otherwise you'll have to say what nickname you're talking about.
