This is a free country and that seems to be a lot of their agenda. They want the government out of everyones personal life. If you prefer to live a more traditional personal life that's great but why put down people who don't want that?

Will it just be a coincidence that you are one of them?

While I do not argue that values are a part of the divide between Liberal and Conservative, there are other issues at stake. You say that Liberals want the government out of everyones personal lives, but Liberals want to increase taxes for every tax bracket but the lowest, will impose environmental carbon limits on individuals given time, wish to teach our children about safe sex while omitting the possibility of abstaining from sex (keeping in mind this is forced down children's throats in school where parents have no options as far as their childrens education), would like to remove the right to keep and bear arms, and overall support a larger more powerful government. Republicans want to lower taxes for middle and upper class citizens (keep in mind that if you move to a higher tax bracket now, you make less money than if you hadnt), do not move to remove any of the rights in the constitution, support a smaller less powerful government, and leave many of these issues up to the states rather than the national government. That is why I am a Republican; I do not want the federal government telling me what to do, especially when it comes to matters of the family and matters of personal freedoms. You can not say that the Republicans have tried to remove any personal freedoms, except maybe the gay marriage issue, but that was a right that has yet to be granted in the first place. Since Liberals have been around, peoples cars have to go through constant emissions inspections, the pledge of allegiance has been banned, personal handguns have been banned in D.C. (recently reversed as being UNCONSTITUTIONAL), and anything Christmans (not just the nativity scene) has been removed from any public property, while Muslims and Jews are allowed to display what they wish.

Well let's start with some obvious things like liberals founded this great nation we live in. Then we can move on to liberal supporting your ability to make personal choices, next we can touch on the concept of a helping hand, liberals believe the country is strong enough economically to help those in need, from here we can move on to liberals promote creativity, an important aspect of a fulfilling life, we also know liberals care about the environment, labor rights, sexual religious and racial equality, I mean hell what's now to like

to thne poster below:
No cavemen weremore like today's conservatives, fearful, warmongers but that's another story

And for the poster below we don't want your guns hell we own them too doesn't mean they shouldn't be well regulated, hell we regulate alcohol and guns are a helluva alot more dangerous

It's hard for you to dislike liberals because you happen to have intelligence. Just read some of the responses you received. Many have learned how to respond to questions by listening to bush. Not exactly a good role model to mimic.

"They want the government out of everyones personal life." What?!?! Nothing could be further from the truth! Liberals want MORE government, which leads to more government intervention and intrusion into your life.

Sorry but that is just not true. The Libs SAY they want the gov't out of private lives, but at the same time they insist the gov't should control everything- from the schools to the housing permits through cars, guns and even the things we eat, drink or smoke- all "for your own good". Sorry, but if I wanted someone to tell me how to live, I would move to Cuba or China, or Iran

You are very mistaken if you think that the liberal platform wants government out of your personal life. Its more personally intrusive. Its jut the issues are different.

most likely because you are factually challenged. Liberals want MORE government. What do you mean by "traditional?"
Legal and moral? I hope not.

You're mistaken....the Democrat Party thinks the Federal Government knows best and should tax us to death, in order to fund their wasteful social programs.

I don't see why anyone would hate a group that brought the country so many positive things like safe drinking water, safe food, safe working conditions, overtime pay, safe over the counter drugs and so much more.

Chica, you have no idea. They may want to stay out of your sexuality, but want to intervene in every other possible aspect.

Libs are cute, cuddly, and they mean well, but dangerous just the same.
