It's probably past its prime after twenty years - even the best champagnes don't last much more than eight years in the bottle. As the other answerers say open it and try it (a little won't hurt you). Here's a tip though - if it is bad don't throw it out, boil up some carrots in it, carrots cooked in champagne taste superb!

It good stuff but keep it for yourself an spell it right ,lol I'm drinking some know see i can't even spell it right brute or it could be who noes ,bruit does sound about right to me but as i said im drinking mine try an save your's .
