kobe IS the best player in the league hands down, he knows it and it seems like he has a hard time humbling himself as a team player although this season he is trying. with kobe its either you hate him or love him. i love him. there is no in between with this guy. you answered your question in your question, people are jealous. why? well look at how good he is and what he does. he may be over payed as most pro's are but he's not over rated, he proves why he's the man. although that game against dallas was horrible.

I am neither a Kobe fan or hater. Kobe is a great talent. However I do grow tired of hearing the debates over his greatness in relation to players who have played full careers. Kobe is a heck of a player and I look forward to comparing his numbers with the legends. Right now he just needs to win some games. DWade is also in that group and over the last year has equaled if not outplayed Kobe. Lebron could be in this group too if he'd concentrate on playing basketball instead of making commercials.

I am surprised a million people didn't answer saying Kobe sucks.
But any ways I as I said before and will say again KOBE IS THE BEST. He has an amazing knowledge of the game and can hit some sick shots.

I'm pretty neutral but some of the dislike for Bryant stems from his inability to make others around him better. He is by far the most lethal scorer in the league but that alone does not insure greatness. Look at MJ some of the most crucial plays he made in his career were passes. Get it , passes, he included his team mates. The passes he made to Paxton, Hodges, and Longley were game winners. Its cool to score but you have to know when to use your teammates, and Kobe hasn't figured this out yet. If he has prove it.

I'm a kobe fan and I'm not scared to admit it.
Kobe is the best player in the league, period. no question about that.
And I think this is enough reason to like him.
Okay, you can find excuses: he's not a good human being...
he's a dirty player...
Lakers aren't doing good...
He's trying to be jordan...
all that stuff.
But regardless, he's a great basketball player, you gotta respect him to say the very least. I'm tired of people saying he's a bad player, because truth be told: he's good!
Hating him, fine, but you can't lie and say he's not good.
Yes, people can hate kobe, but like you said, they are jealous. people just love to hate the best.

When your the best, all the haters will point out the flaws...even when there minor(ballhog...cocky..etc) that's what haters do.
