At my job the girls here only move up if after work you hang with the managers and stuff. I am married and have a 4yr old. I work hard at what I do but never get recongnized. My co-worker won employee of the month just because her BF cheated on her. Another because she went to the club and stuff with the assit. manager, what do I do ???

Stick to your guns and continue to do the best job you can. Eventually managers see through the BS. Some do like party girls, but when it comes to crunch time they depend on the ones doing the job. Don't compromise your integrity.

Chalk it up to a terrible work environment and get out while you still can. If you aren't recognized for your accomplishments, and you'd like to advance for your abilities rather than your looks, or butt kissing, then you should just get that resume out and start updating it. But find the new job before you quit. My last job was all about nepotism. It was a family business and they hired their husbands, wives, children etc. And in that kind of environment you can't get ahead unless they LOVE you for your personality or your genetics. Please get out before you do something drastic. Trust me, I know, I did something drastic and got fired.

if you're unhappy find another job.
say you're driving down the road and you come to a car stalled in the road. are you the type that noses right up to the road block and leans on the horn? or do you just sit there steaming. personally, i just go around. it's the same in life. i call it freeway logic. just punch it and go around.
you could grow old waiting for things to go your way.

People that don't have responsibilities like you, can't comprehend your life. Perhaps they think you don't go out with them because you don't like them.
You should socialize with them at least once before you make any decisions. Get a babysitter and take your spouse.
Maybe they want to get to know you.
