I reall yneed to know how to convince my parents to switch to cingular. I really want their razr's instead of the verizon ones, AND they have the same prices as verizon. I know it's free to call to another verizon customer, because most of my family is verizon. BUT i really need some advice

Just tell them that Cingular has better working phones...I also have Verizon and Verizon doesn't let you keep the minutes you never used but Cingular does for example:

Verizon
1000 minutes total
856 Minutes used
Start back at 1000 minutes

Cingular
1000 minutes total
856 minutes used
Start at 1144 minutes
You get the minutes you never used!

There's one way...more minutes

GOOD LUCK!!!!

You should probably buy one yourself. If it costs the same and the requirement would be to get a new phone, and you are a Verizon customer with many Verizon family and friends, your parents would have no reason to switch. In fact if I were a parent of yours, I would tell you to use your own money if you want it. Sorry. But otherwise, beg and tell them you will wash their cars twice a week, and make them a wholesome homemade dinner 4 times a month until you are 18 years old. And make them a wholesome homemade dinner before you try to convince them to switch for you. BTW Verizon does have a Razr Phone.

Considering that it usually costs penalties to change plans outside of the 2-year marks, I'd offer to pay the penalties and pay for the new phones.

If you were one of my kids, however, I'd remind you that the phone is a luxury and we are not switching just so you can have a different piece of equipment when the switch would cost us and be annoying.

I'd also point out that 'Heck, I don't have the phone *I* want, why should you get the one you want?'

the question is the problem.
Your parents will not change carriers for you.
You need to talk to several of your family members.
If you can get them to consider changing over to cingular, your parents will probably decide to change without your help.
Apparently, they want to talk to family members without the charges.
