No, it's not bad at all, you're doing a good thing, don't listen to them.

No, it is not something bad. Take it as a compliment. ......?

People now want your help, advice and other school related things. But then again it doesnt matter if you get good grades and study your still you and you prolly blend into your unique personality.

the word isnt that bad when people actually wanna talk to you and you may be willing to help.(BUT DONT LET THEM COPY YOU!!!!!!!!!)

if people use the word derogatorily, then thats bad. Never help them again in your life. Let it out peacefully. Forget about it. Ignore them. Shut them out. Box them out.

But dont get discouraged becasue you got ur expressive live, study skills, shyness, and friends, that will shape your future and help you achieve goals.

USE REVERSE PHYCOLOGY ON THOSE CRAZY PEOPLE THAT USE IT NEGATIVELY.
they arent even at ur level..

And its ok to call someone a nerd playfully..i guess.

express till death.

My saying to that is, "Don't allow other people to rent space in your head" In other words don't allow this to even be a question of doubt about yourself, obviously you have something they are jealous of. Nerds are normally the ones that graduate with a high grade point average, with better jobs and a tremendous amount of self-satisfaction. If this is a Nerd, then how I would love to be one as well! Put it to rest!

Why should you feel bad because you enjoy learning and display a certain level of intelligence? The label 'nerd' is so over-used. Usually by those of mediocre intellect.

Being a nerd is a compliment. I'd consider myself a nerd, but I'm a hot nerd, so the stereotype doesn't bother me a bit.

Learn to love being a nerd... if you actually are. If you're not, then just ignore them, clearly they lack maturity.

Are you a teenager? Children can be cruel, but most of the insults they throw they will not even think about. So really, it's just hot air. Most "extroverted" teenagers talk just to talk, and a lot of them feel compelled to compete with others. And insulting is just a coward's way of competing.

No. Let me tell you sumthin. I am shy and dont talk to the 'popular kids' and everyone in my classes thinks im a dork except in gym class until all the jocks saw me play basketball and beat them....then I got some respect. Just find friends who care about you and who want to be around you.

Even though you say you don't feel insulted, you should not pay attention to what people say about you. They are not the ones choosing what's right for you. Only you can choose what's right because you know yourself best.

Nowadays it's not as bad as it once was.

I personally don't think it's bad, no.

Just remember, you'll end up doing something you love and they will end up as waitresses or factory workers.
