They believe their religion tells them to because:
1. We are not followers of Allah
2. Our society is decadent (re: TV, movies, lifestyles)
3. We support Israel
4. Western and Arabs civilizations have been at odds for millennia.

I think you are assuming that they really do hate us, the citizens of the US, and that "they" all hate "us" for the same reason. I think a lot of groups have a dog in this fight. I believe that generally, a lot of people in the Middle East like Americans and our way of life but they don't like how our government and American/Western corporations behave in their region, exploiting their resources and manipulating their governments. American Imperialism is alive and well. Our government has supported brutal authoritian dictatorships that do what we want or are an advantage to our economy. We talk a lot about freedom and democracy but that only extends as far as how much it negatively impacts our country. I think a much smaller element is in this out of religious zealotry and others are simply responding to the opportunity to act out in a chaotic environment. What is happening scares me and I believe that the current administration is only digging us in deeper.

Who cares why they hate us??? The fact is they do and this is a war for our very existence and the continuation of the ideals on which our great country was founded!!!! They are not worth negotiating with!!! We need to kick their a.s.s.e,.s. back to the middle ages!!! As far as your claim of most people asking why do they hate us,most people I know were saying that it was time to go kick some a.s.s.!!!!!

I don't think all of them hate us. It's just the terrorists, but I think the main reason of that attack was George Bush, I heard from some where that George Bush used to go to school with Osama Binladin and mabey Osama attacked because he was jelous of Bush, or because of something that happend in the past between them.

That thought never went through my head at all,it still doesnt!screw 'em if they dont like us,their taught to hate us in their schools,its part of their curriculum and if you think for one second you can reason with them,then your wrong

That is a silly question that only GWB and his Cabal of war criminals can answer because no one actually hates you as such but if you keep dropping bombs on them they might want to retaliate.

"They (Afghans, Arabs)" didn't do it. Our government was behind 9/11. The twin towers and tower 7, were packed with explosives! We were lied to, and we continue to be lied to. The enemy isn't out there, its here. Educate yourself.
